6 Monthly Check Ups
Dentistry is now focussed on prevention and we are always looking at ways to stop problems occurring to your teeth. What problems that may be occurring in your mouth, have in an impact on your overall well being.
One common condition we look for is gum disease. This problem is a slow disease usually, which affects the bone and gum around a tooth or teeth. Slowly, the teeth become looser and looser and then need a lot of specialist work to save them or to consider taking them out. This condition gets worse with age and can be more severe in the 45+ ages. Diabetes, poor oral hygiene, smoking and family history all contribute to this.
That is why we recommend regular checkups. So please make sure you get into a regular routine which helps protect your teeth from decay and gum disease.
