Mayra is passionate about dentistry after she graduated in 2008 in Brazil, her home country.
She then moved to the UK where she completed a Masters in Program in Dental Public Health at UCL. This has given Mayra a unique insight to dentistry, specifically how oral health can significantly improve the general quality of life of her patients. She believes in a holistic dental approach and is committed to developing an honest and friendly relationship with her patients to ultimately help them to achieve the smile they deserve and improve their quality of life.
Following the completion of her studies in the UK, Mayra moved to Adelaide where she obtained an Advanced Diploma in Oral Health with a focus on Preventative Dentistry and treatment of gum disease.
Mayra is a fully qualified dentist and member of the Australian Dental Council.
Currently, she splits her working in private practice and supervising dental students at Griffith University. She is very keen on keeping herself up to date with the latest dental procedures and materials available.
Outside work, she enjoys travelling and has just started CrossFit.
